What Are Vegan Skin Care Products?

If you're not familiar with vegan skin care products not to worry. Beauty products that do not contain any animal ingredients of any kind or any ingredients that are tested on animals can carry the title "Vegan".

There are many types of vegan skin care products these days and the best way to verify the "veganess" of these products is to read the ingredient list. If you can't contact the product's creator or even gain easy access to an ingredient list, it should be a no go anyway; never trust beauty products made by just anyone!

One of the ways I like to check the ingredients of beauty and skin care products is the Environmental Working Group's database called Skin Deep. It lists products, their ingredients as well as info about the safety and source of all the ingredients in the products. Great site for anyone looking for safe, natural skin care products, including those that are vegan.

What Ingredients Help Make Vegan Skin Care Products Work So Well

Amazingly, with todays science and technology, there have been many advances in skin care and as a result, there are now quite a few different options for ingredients that are both vegan, cruelty free and highly effective.

For example, lets look at Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid is a major powerhouse for skin care as it's anti aging properties help reduce fine lines and wrinkles and is fantastic at helping the skin keep moisture in and avoid dehydration. Today, there is a version of Hyaluronic Acid that is derived from mushrooms that's non toxic, vegan and highly effective!

Another way that to make effective vegan skin care products is through the combinations of ingredients used. The properties of herbs, botanicals and fruit essences are enhanced when used in combination with others; even more so than when used alone! Those that develop truly effective vegan skin care products know the longstanding traditions behind these plants and how to use them to make the most of each.

There are many advantages to a vegan lifestyle for our whole planet, and good skin care is an important part of anyone's lifestyle - so - it would stand to reason that vegan skin care is simply an essential part of everyone's lifestyle!
